Dr. Sudhakar Reddy Chintala is a Scientist and Head of Forest Biodiversity and Ecology Division at National Remote Sensing Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation, specializing in interdisciplinary biodiversity research. His work integrates geospatial technologies, ecological analysis, and quantitative methods to develop approaches for the inventory, monitoring, and mapping of biodiversity. His research addresses characterization of essential biodiversity variables, identification of threatened ecosystems and species, delineation of biologically significant areas, and assessment of alien plant invasions. His research also focusses on the species distribution modelling and impacts of climate change on species, supporting evidence-based conservation and management strategies.
