Purabi Saikia is an Associate Professor of Botany with a research focus on ecological and biochemical analyses of vegetation and physicochemical analyses of soil in Indian forests in different disturbance gradients. Her work spans long-term ecological monitoring, biomass estimation, invasive species mapping, and plant population modeling, with a strong emphasis on integrating field-based ecology with satellite remote sensing and geospatial tools.
